Holiday Clinic hits the road

Australia's number one holiday athletics crew travel to Northam Little Athletics Centre to inspire the countries youth.

The visit was made possible through the Shire of Northam's generous grant towards helping their youth develop further through expert coaching. Athletes were treated to Private Training sessions, morning tea, lunch, refreshments and capped off with an inspirational message followed by group coaching sessions.

The Sprinting Fast coaching team was made up of Paralympic bronze medalist Sarah Edmiston, multiple award winner Paul Edmiston and coach/athletes Alana Sim, Poppy Vogl & Mackenzie Liddelow.

Sarah grew up in a country town and had the most success as an athlete after the age of 40. An water skiing accident at 19yo left her with 'foot drop' which enabled her to become a Para athlete later in life. Her message was clear to the kids "Achieving success has nothing to do with having the best facilities, fancy shoes or lots of money. It's about having an unstoppable determination, making no excuses and working hard every day!" - @sarahedmistonau

The team plans regular visits including preparation for the state championships in February 2024 and before the 2024/25 season start.
