Australia's number 1 kids athletics clinic has spent the weekend at the Eastern Goldfields Little Athletics Club to inspire the local talent.
Paralympic bronze medalist Sarah Edmiston has lead the charge of elite coaches visiting the eastern goldfields region for private and group training sessions with the kids.
"What an awesome weekend our athletics club has had with the Sprinting Fast coaches from Perth. It was so great to see to all the athletes out on track over the weekend learning and perfecting new skills. Thank you Paul, Sarah, Mack, Alana and Poppy for all your time over the the last couple of days. We would love to have you back anytime !!!!" - EGLAC.
Australian Legend Retires
After 8 years at the elite level Australia's double Paralympian discus thrower Sarah Edmiston has today announced her retirement from competitive athletics.
"Today I am officially announcing my retirement. Words cannot express the incredible journey and enjoyment athletics has given me. I am happy to say it will still be a part of my life going forward. I must thank those who have made this possible namely my amazing husband and coach Paul, my incredible family, the WA Institute of Sport, Athletics Australia, my super team mates, Perth Track and Field Club and my brilliant supporters. I am really looking forward to the next chapter in my life, spending more time with my family, enjoying my hobbies and coaching the next generation of superstars."
Her main achievements include the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Bronze, 2020 Dubai World Championship Silver, 2017 London World Championship Bronze & 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games Silver medals. Also the World number 1 ranking in 2018, 2020, 2021 & 2022.

Edmiston selected for Paris 2024

West Australian discus thrower Sarah Edmiston has been selected for her second Australian Paralympic team.
The Tokyo Paralympic bronze and double world championship medalist will compete in the F64/44 Women's discus throw on August 24th in Paris, France.
