U16 athlete Ruby MANOV has broken two records at the Kingsway Little Athletics Centre in the 100m & 300m hurdles.

On January 13th she broke the 300m hurdles record at KLAC with a time of 47.83. Almost a whole second faster than the previous record of 48.69sec. Then two weeks later on January 27th she broke the 100m hurdles record with a personal best performance of 15.78 (the previous record was 16.48 set on 18/02/2023).

One week after that she set another personal best of 14.83 at the WA Athletics Stadium beating the Sprinting Fast record (which was 14.97 set on 17/12/2015 by Sarah Sunquist). That effort currently ranks her 6th in Australia for her age group. Later that evening she recorded her fastest ever 100m clocking a wind-aided 12.56 (+2.3).

Ruby only joined Sprinting Fast halfway through the 2023/24 season and has made some impressive improvements since.
